Juvéderm® and the Key to Anti-aging – Face Fillers

Everyone ages and while many of us do not mind looking “mature” we do not want to be called “old.” The difference between “mature” and “old” can be a thin line – or several thin lines around the corners of your eyes and mouth. To keep from crossing the border to “old” you may have considered BOTOX® or other types of facial fillers, but the frozen face stereotype or the idea of becoming dependent on a product you have to reapply every few months may be enough to be pushing you toward just “growing old gracefully.”

Anti-Aging Validated by Science

Anti-Aging and you, is it possible?

If you’re like most people, you want to feel younger, look younger, and have more youthful energy.  You want to slow the aging process and return to a revitalized state of health.

Your age is determined by much more than a simple number; in fact, it’s a mixture of several factors.  These include your chronological age (how old you are in simple years), stress and environmental factors (such as the damage caused by free radical compounds that continually attack our cells’ genes), and your genetic composition.

Feed your skin

Everything you need to know about nourishing your skin you probably learned in grade school.

Women through the centuries have tried all

kinds of brands of skin care products in pursuit of skin deep beauty.

Some reserve a big chunk of their time and income to keep their skin young and beautiful. Others seem to know the secret to

great skin without spending or doing much. Actually there is no secret to beautiful skin, it’s lesson we learned back in grade school: nutrients that make the skin look younger come from the glow foods.

Glow foods review

Fruits and vegetables make up the glow foods, a review of elementary school science will remind us. These products contain the essential  vitamins and minerals for youthful skin, as do dairy products, such as milk and cheese, eggs and animal protein. There are a lot of vitamins and minerals that the skin needs, including the fat soluble  vitamins. Even essentail fatty acids are also important  for healthy skin. The lack or glut of any of these shows on the skin hair and nails as poor texture, rough skin uneven skin tone, coarse hair, even bruising.

Here are the vitamins and minerals naturally found in food that kepp skin looking young and glowing:

Vitamin A: It also has antioxidant properties that neutralize free radicals in the body that cause tissue and cellular damage

Vitamin B complex: It keeps your mucous membranes healthy and is essential for nervous system, cardiovascular and muscular function.

Vitamin C and E: also known as ascorbic acid, helps to heal wounds, prevent cell damage, promote healthy gums and teeth, and strengthen the immune system. It also helps the body absorb iron. Recent research has indicated that vitamin C may be associated with delayed aging and disease prevention by destroying ‘free radicals’-the molecules associated with aging and cell damage.

Vitamin K: necessary for blood clotting. Without it, even a small cut would cause continuous bleeding in the body. Vitamin K also plays an important role in kidney function and bone growth and repair – some studies have even shown that it may help prevent osteoporosis

Folic acid: also known as folate, is important for the production and maintenance of new cells.

Biotin: necessary for the formation of fatty acids and glucose, which are used as fuels by the body. Biotin also helps to break down amino acids and carbohydrates in the body.

Selenium: essential trace mineral that is widely regarded in scientific communities as a potentially powerful antioxidant.

Copper: plays a key role in the development and maintenance of healthy skin and hair. The body needs copper to produce the skin pigment melanin, which colors the skin, hair, and eyes.

Zinc: appears to ease rosacea symptoms and may help clear up acne.

More Skin Smarts:

  1. Drink up Drinking eight glasses of water a day will maintain your skin’s elasticity and suppleness. Go for sparkling mineral or tap water not sodas, alcohol or other beverages.
  2. Clean your beauty tools. Brushes sponges and other makeup applicators get dirty, harboring germs that can trigger skin irritations and break outs. Clean tools at least twice a month.

Don’t give in to stress. Worrying too much can affect not just your skin but your health. Set aside quiet time to meditate or relax sleep early and avoid accumulated fluid from producing facial puffiness and eye bags by lying on your back
